Cathay Requires Bigger Airbus. Cathay Pacific said it is talking to Airbus Group in the aircraft manufacturer proposal for an expanded version of the new A350 widebody aircraft, a model that needs to attract a strong set of initial customers to get the nod.

Chu said he is not interested in Airbus A380 Super Jumbo, which usually is equipped with 525 seats that do not favor high frequency time necessary to attract corporate passengers.
