The newest release line up of Airbus family, the Airbus A350-900 XWB while in Singapore Airlines livery in rendered image. Singapore Airlines has placed 70 firm orders of A350-900 XWB and schedule to receive first delivery this year. They become the second operator of Extra Widebody A350 Series after Qatar Airways. The first order was 20 aircraft and later added another 20 aircraft more in December 2012 after that Singaporean carrier added another 30 firm order in May 2013.

Airbus A350-900 XWB is designed for medium or long-haul flights, built to replace or alternative market of predecessor Airbus A330 and A340 Series. It has specially made carbon-fibre with polymer reinforcement on fuselage and wings. The aircraft promises better fuel efficiency since has advanced aircraft structure and greener engines.

Airbus A350-900 will have direct competition with Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 Series.
