Korean Air Boeing 777-300 Engine Fire, Boeing 777-300 of Korean Air During Evacuation

Korean Air Boeing 777-300 Engine Fire in Tokyo. The carrier Boeing 777-300 flight number HL7534 was evacuated via slides after the flames were detected in one of the Pratt & Whitney PW4090 engines jet.

The aircraft was taxiing at Tokyo Haneda International Airport, and was operating KE2708 flight to Seoul Gimpo when the incident occurred.

"The aircraft was taxiing for takeoff when the engine detected flame No.1" says Korean Air. "The takeoff was canceled immediately." All 302 passengers and 18 crew were evacuated using slides of the aircraft.

Picture above shown the aircraft resting on the taxiway with slides deployed, while emergency vehicles sprayed foam on its left wing. Currently the carrier is operating four Boeing 777-300s.
